Report for Sharp-angled Roads

This report finds road junctions where two roads meet at an extremely sharp angles, which likely indicates either a drawing error or a missing turn restriction.

Sections

Very sharp angles

Road connections at sharp acute angles (≤30°) that should be reviewed. These are usually either drawing issues (roads that can turn multiple ways drawn at a sharp angle), or missing turn restrictions (sharp turns that are actually illegal or impossible but not marked as such). Commonly these are roads that split or join around medians or link roads that join main highways. There are also valid cases, especially if U-turns are allowed, so each case should be reviewed individually. Smaller roads tend to have weird angles and are sometimes impossible to draw otherwise. Similarly, intersections with many roads may be impossible to represent without some sharp angles. Routers generally avoid suggesting U-turns (and very few are actually mapped), but most routers will take very sharp turns, so these need to be turn restricted.

Sharp angles with turn restrictions

Road connections at sharp angles that already have a turn restriction, so routing should be fine. Listed for reference.
